Howard Booysen to take the Highlands Road in 2013 (

Howard Booysen came out with his first wine, a Weisser Riesling, to great acclaim receiving a 4.5 star rating in the Platters Wine guide 2011.


He was also the first protégé to complete the Cape Winemakers Guild Protégé programme. More recently, he was rated one of the top 10 “Young winemakers to watch” in the Platters Wine Guide 2013 and Howard now plans to join Highlands Road Winery in Elgin as the winemaker.
